David is a principal of Dorado Capital, a commercial real estate investment firm he co-founded in 2018. As a member of the firm’s Management and Investment Committees, Mr. Kanne oversees investor relations, marketing, and company operations. Additionally, he is responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies for the firm’s investment vehicles. David is also the President & Founder of Lincoln Ventures, a commercial real estate development and investment company focused on opportunistic real estate development within the multifamily, student housing, and office sectors. Since its founding in 2010, Lincoln Ventures has focused on ‘recession-resilient’ development opportunities, namely within the student housing sector. David has overseen the development of over 2,500 beds with an enterprise value of $380 Million. Prior to founding Lincoln Ventures, he co-founded ACR and Fairway Properties both of which are still active today. ACR is a real estate leasing company with a focus on multifamily and student housing properties and Fairway is a property management company focused on multifamily, student housing, and office properties. David is a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Multifamily Housing Council and Real Estate Council of Austin. He supports numerous charity organizations and resides with his wife and two children in Austin, TX. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from the  University of Nebraska, Omaha.
